1. Clay face mask for oily skin

What you need:

  • 2 tablespoons of Fuller’s earth (multani mitti)
  • 2 drops of tea tree oil
  • ½ teaspoon of lime juice
  • Water, as required


How do you make it?
Combine the lime juice into the Fuller’s earth and mix it thoroughly so that it forms a thick paste. Add water, as required to make the consistency thinner. Then add 2 drops of tea tree oil into the mask preparation and apply it to your face and neck. Leave it for 20 minutes and wash it off thoroughly.

What good is it?
Fuller’s Earth works as a clay which goes deep into your pores to suck out any impurities and excess sebum. Lime juice contains large amounts of vitamin C, which aids in ridding dead skin cells and brightening the skin. When added with the antimicrobial and antiseptic powers of tea tree oil, this mask will replace any oiliness from your face with nothing but radiance.

2. Strawberry face mask for acne-prone, blemished skin

What you need:

  • White of 1 egg, beaten until foamy
  • ½ cup of finely sliced strawberries
  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • ½ teaspoon of lime juice


How do you make it?
Combine the liquid elements of the egg white, honey and lime juice together in one container. Then add the strawberries and mix together until it forms a paste. Apply it on your face and after leaving it on your face for 15 minutes, wash it off with cold water.

What good is it?
Strawberries are one of most potent producers of essential fruit acids like AHA’s and salicylic acid, both of which are ingredients in a variety of acne-fighting products. When combined with the antibacterial properties of honey, they fight bacteria and reduce breakouts. The astringent properties of lime juice fade blemishes while egg whites curb oiliness to prevent flare-ups in the future.

3. Almond face mask for dry, dull skin

What you need:

  • 5 - 6 almonds
  • 20 ml of milk
  • Milk cream, as required
  • 2 teaspoons of honey


How do you make it?
Soak the almonds in the directed amount of milk for 3 hours, post which, separate them. Keep the milk aside and mash the softened almonds into a fine paste. Then add the honey to the almond mash along with a small quantity of milk cream, enough to create a paste. Add the almond-soaked milk to thin the paste so that it becomes a slightly runny consistency. Apply it on your face for an hour and then wash it off with warm water.

What good is it?
The dry fruit that is almond is high in the content of vitamin E, which is a super vitamin to nourish the skin. Milk and milk cream contain large amounts of biotin, calcium and lactic acid, which revitalize and nourish dull skin. When together combined with the antibacterial and healing properties of honey, this mask will slough off dry skin and reveal brightness within.
